- It is always a blessing and an honor that I do not take lightly when asked to speak, host or conduct a work shop that will educate, motivate and inspire others. Yesterday was no different a special thanks goes out to The University of Michigan Health System Office for Health Equity and Inclusion for this amazing opportunity and I'm excited to come back to do it all over again for the next group. Yesterday marked confirmation of my passion to work with, inspire and motivate others to become their best selves.
- I am very excited about the journey ahead and I have to thank the students for being so open, honest and receptive to the activities. I am so proud of each and everyone of your for being true to "YOU" for digging deep and for respecting one another. Its hard enough to look int he mirror and question yourself but to openly do this in front of others is BRAVE and that was "AWESOME". Each student left with the development of their personal brand that they were encouraged to use moving forward. Something they can put on business cards, use within their elevator pitch, place on resumes', cover letters and etc. Their responses on their Speaker feedback left me feeling so humbly confirmed that I am doing exactly what God has called me to do. For someone to sit in a 2 hour workshop with me and say "They wished it were longer" only shows they were captivated and taking it all in. Other comments I saw were "Perfect" "Thought Provoking" "Awesome" "Impactful" "Inspiring" and it went on.
- All I can say once again is THANK YOU GOD for creating in me a clean, pure and serving heart and thank you for placing amazing people in my life throughout this journey. A special thank you to Clarissa Freeman and Debbie Mitchell for thinking of me and entrusting your group in my presence. I am open to God's will and I am "Moving in Faith" all day, everyday in every way because #GodMakesNoMistakes
- I love you all and if you know anyone that is interested in bringing this workshop to their students, employees and groups don't hesitate to contact [email protected].

It's not about the woman staring in the mirror it's all about the woman staring back. Often times you get caught up in your physical being and your mindset sees a distorted vision. But truth is there is power in the very person you are looking at. If you stare long enough and speak to the reflection long enough it will cause you to see differently and will define the path you choose to take. There is a purpose in your reflection. It allows you to see an image for what it really is. The mind has a way of allowing you to see what doesn't really exist. Therefore when you have created an image of yourself in your mind it portrays a thought. But when you stop and stare for ten, fifteen, twenty consecutive minutes you will literally break down and see yourself. You will break down into laughter, anger or sadness. Your emotions will start to get discombobulated. If you notice most times when someone stare in the mirror and they start crying or laughing they immediately look away, fall back or close their eyes. That is because the emotion takes over and you can't bare the sight. But in order to break through you have to keep staring, for it is then you will see the physical of what you really look like as your reflection takes back control. Who you are and where you are does not change until your mind decides to see and look differently and when your mind gets the best of you it is impossible to stare at the truth of what is there. In order for you to defeat your mind you can't look away. In taking the stance to stare you put an end to the “ficticious” image can manifest and fuel the falsified story developing in your mind. Knowing this, the journey and obstacle is to stare through it because your reflection does not lie. You have to stare long enough in order to withstand the emotions and see WHO YOU ARE? Put an end to what society says you are, but be who God has immaculately created you to be because it is time for YOU to be the BEAUTIFUL CURVY YOU God has called you to be. Your imperfections are perfect and your progress is great just take step after step and you will get to where you are suppose to be. For your present situation is preparing you for your future victory. When you find yourself in a rut physically find a mirror and stare because they mirror does not lie. Over the past few months I have been so honored to speak at a few engagements to some amazing youth. I spoke on a Young and Successful Panel at Eastern Michigan University. Then flew to Boston to speak to at my Alma Marta Northeastern University where my track meet ended up winning the New England Championships. I was at the Play works luncheon in Ford Field in Detroit, MI and I spoke at career day at Old Redford Academy. Then had the opportunity to fly to Washington, DC to speak to the youth at Hungry Brains a non-profit that my friend Allsion Nevalga supervises. I also had the opportunity to speak with a friend Lawrence Simmons during "I am a Champion" motivational workshop at the Henry Ford Hospital along with Calvin Sibert "Too Cool Moves" |
