In life we all face trials. However within these trials are lessons for us to endure and move on from. In the end no matter how much you are victimized you have a responsibility to pick up the broken pieces and create a new masterpiece. For far too long there has been a cry heard around the world, a self pity that feeds doubt, a misery that becomes an infectious disease. But we as individuals can manifest and create a network to dry tears, build a union that is a more desirable nourishment for success and raise funds and awareness for a cure. Pain and heartache is inevitable but as I shared with a High School Sr. the other day: a true champion is not recognized just by his or her success, but by their resilience their ability to over come defeat, withstand the storm and smile in the face of adversity. My coach Mohammed Saatara once said to me "Zara you have to succeed when everyone thinks it's ok for you to fail". Meaning you may be down and have a very valid reason to be. But in those moments are the true test of your will to win. Take a look in the mirror and remind yourself, there is no one else like you, no one else can do things just like you. Tell yourself YOU are great and destined to do great things. This simple act you will find can be very difficult at times but I promise you this... It works. This activity was probably the best thing a coach of mine Joe Donahue could have forced me to do everyday of my college career. I Love You all and know I truly believe in who you are and what you will become for nothing is impossible. Stay Blessed and keep Moving in Faith, Z |
